Netlify Drops Per-Seat Pricing From Its Pro Plan
A flat $20-a-month rate now covers unlimited team members, undercutting a competitor's per-seat model for any team larger than one person.
Netlify announced changes to its credit-based pricing plans on April 14, 2026, most notably eliminating per-seat charges on its Pro plan. Where Pro previously cost $20 a month for one seat with an additional $20 for every added team member or Git contributor, it now costs a flat $20 a month for 3,000 credits with unlimited team members included at no extra charge.
Netlify also made form submissions free across all credit-based plans, having previously charged one credit per submission, and adjusted its metered credit rates for other resources: bandwidth now costs 20 credits per gigabyte, up from 10, and compute now costs 10 credits per gigabyte-hour, up from 5, while web requests dropped from 3 credits to 2 credits per 10,000 requests.
Netlify framed the changes around a stated goal of "pricing Netlify for the next 3 billion builders," positioning unlimited-seat pricing as removing a specific point of friction for growing teams that previously had to weigh adding a new collaborator against a recurring per-seat cost. The changes took effect immediately for new upgrades to the Pro plan; existing Pro customers had their per-seat charges removed starting at their next billing cycle, while new team members could be added for free right away.
The change sharpens a pricing contrast that's become one of the more commonly cited differences between competing deployment platforms: Netlify's Pro tier is now a flat fee regardless of team size, while a comparably-tiered competing platform's pricing scales per seat. For a five-person team, that difference alone can separate a flat $20 monthly cost from a cost several times higher on a per-seat competitor, independent of any usage-based charges either platform layers on top.
Netlify's Legacy Free, Starter, and Pro plans, along with its Enterprise tier, were unaffected by the April changes -- the new terms apply specifically to accounts on Netlify's newer credit-based plan structure.
